Dog Boarding & Training: What You Need to Know

When preparing your dog for their stay at OPD-K9's boarding and training program, it’s essential to bring the following items to ensure their comfort, health, and smooth integration into our training routines.

1. Food
To maintain consistency in your dog’s diet, please provide enough of their regular food to last the duration of their stay. This helps prevent digestive issues and keeps them comfortable.

• Raw Diet: If you feed raw, we offer our custom raw mix, which includes chicken, bone, beef organ, kelp, carrots, and kale, for $45/week. (Note: We cannot accommodate personal raw food storage.)
• Kibble Diet: It’s better to overpack than underpack.
• Weight Maintenance: If your dog struggles with weight gain or maintaining condition, consider sending a weight gain supplement. This is especially recommended for breeds like Pitbulls and their mixes.
• Treats (Optional): Feel free to bring a large bag or two of your dog’s favorite treats to enhance their training sessions.

2. Vaccinations
We require up-to-date vaccinations to ensure the health and safety of all dogs in our care. Please bring a photocopy or email us the records for the following:

• Core vaccinations (DAPP)
• Rabies
• Bordetella (mandatory for kennel stays)

Additionally, apply a flea and tick preventative just before drop-off. Revolution or Advantix are highly recommended.

3. Payment
For fee balances, we accept the following payment methods:

• Cash
• E-transfer

Payments should be made at the time of your dog’s drop-off.
